Prepped For Significant Growth, DCG Makes Key Leadership Hire
In another strategic move to enhance our leadership team, we are thrilled to announce that Micah Markman has joined DCG as our new Vice President of Technology! This addition reflects our commitment to advancing our digital capabilities and driving innovation across the organization and to our clients.
At DCG, Micah will establish and cultivate a digital practice to complement DCG’s existing marketing, communications, and research capabilities across multiple government agencies. He will also develop and deploy platforms that optimize company efficiency and performance and collaborate on the recruitment of tech-focused employees. To help DCG grow and meet their goals, Micah will help secure technology-focused contracts and implement innovation research technology.
Micah brings over twenty years of experience in technology development, implementation and strategy, planning, consulting, and leadership, serving both private and public sector clients. As an award-winning, seasoned technology professional, he combines his deep technical background, proven management skills, and ability to deeply understand to bring technology results to customers complex missions.
Prior to DCG, Micah was working with Ai for a personal health management startup and was an independent consultant serving a variety of firms from enterprise software for nonprofits to DCG itself. He has also served as the Vice President of Data and Platforms at Reingold and Vice President of Internet Business Systems at TerpSys. During his tenure at both companies, he oversaw award-winning teams of technologists and digital marketers as well as provided hands-on support to customers across a wide array of clients. This included the Departments of Veterans Affairs, Justice, and Homeland Security (DHS), the United States Census Bureau and National Archives, the American Hospital Association, a children’s hospital, Philips Healthcare, and NeighborWorks America among others. Micah started his career in Austin, Texas working in the original days of web-based enterprise software for financial services and high-tech firms at Trilogy and Dell.
Micah received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from Stanford University. He has earned a variety of certifications from his first Java Certified Programmer and Architect in the early 2000’s to recent certifications from Microsoft, Google and Project Management Institute. Most recently, Micah’s earned the DHS Trusted Tester Certificate to show credentials that match his passion for accessible technology.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his two children. He coaches both basketball and soccer, volunteers with Scouts and STEM clubs and is currently trying to teach his kids how to cook. He is an active member of the DC startup community and local government with a focus on digital health, land uses and development issues.
