What was the turning point where you had to have the job?

It’s always scary moving to a new company, especially when I had been at the same organization for almost seven years. I knew DCG was for me during the interview process — the HR team and the managers I spoke to praised DCG unlike anything I’ve seen before. I knew that if the boots-on-the-ground employees have nothing but good things to say about where they work, it was definitely somewhere I wanted to call home.

What is your favorite part of your role?

I’ve always thrived in a career not only with variety but also creative opportunities. In my role, I love that I work on something different every day, and I appreciate having the time to talk needs with the client, brainstorm solutions with the account team, and report back with good news after a successful campaign.

What is your favorite DCG memory?

In 2022, I had the pleasure of hosting DCG’s Raleigh, N.C., holiday party, and we decided to go bowling! We all had a blast — not only did I meet new friends and strengthen friendships with those I work with regularly, but the event also reinforced my confidence in a company’s ability to truly build a positive and fun culture for their employees. My colleagues quickly learned that I’m better at communications than I am at bowling!

Where’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to?

For my birthday in October 2022, my two closest friends and I took a road trip from Phoenix, Ariz., through Utah, and ended in Denver, Col. As part of the trip, we stayed a night in Monument Valley and even took a picture at Forrest Gump Point. Monument Valley had such a relaxing atmosphere — it was unlike anywhere I’ve ever been.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I’m actually the owner and CEO of my own creative business! I started a podcast in 2019 to talk to millennials about my own anxiety and panic attacks, and over the years, it has transformed into a freshly formed LLC. I now not only release podcast episodes about millennial anxiety, but I also specialize in concert and wedding videography.

Outside of DCG, Canden runs a business that specializes in concert and wedding videography.

What’s on your bucket list?

The top of my bucket list is to see the Northern Lights. I have high hopes as I travel to Maine soon, and I’m also planning a trip to Iceland to hopefully catch them there as well!
