Supporting Those Who Serve: DCG’s Impact Across Federal and Military Missions
At DCG, our commitment to those who serve goes beyond contracts — it’s personal. Many of our team members are veterans, military spouses, and family members who bring lived experience and a shared sense of purpose to every project we lead. From connecting soldiers and families with critical resources and shaping nationwide efforts that protect veterans’ health and well-being to improving access to education benefits, we’re proud to help our federal partners make a lasting impact.
DCG’s work helps agencies inform, engage, and empower service members, military families, veterans, and the communities that stand beside them. Through this enduring commitment, we continue to strengthen awareness, connection, and readiness across the nation.
Here’s a look at how we’ve helped our federal partners support those who serve and why this mission matters to us.
Telling the Army Story | U.S. Army’s Office of the Chief of Public Affairs
To help bridge the civilian-military divide, DCG partnered with the U.S. Army’s Office of the Chief of Public Affairs (OCPA) to lead communications planning, creative execution, and campaign development that built understanding and trust between soldiers and the nation they serve.
We supported the Meet Your Army campaign, an initiative connecting soldiers with communities underrepresented in today’s force — helping families, students, and employers see themselves in service. Our work included demographic analyses, event planning, and message development in collaboration with Army Futures Command and recruiting teams to reach high school and college STEM students. A full range of after-action reports provided leaders with insightful, factual, and easily digestible information that captured lessons learned and best practices to apply going forward.
Beyond campaign execution, DCG’s writers and designers worked alongside Army staff to produce content for social, web, and print platforms. We developed Army-wide communications playbooks, trained more than 125 senior leaders each year, and managed three Pentagon exhibits viewed by more than 100,000 visitors annually. We created a governance structure that ensured content could be easily adapted for multiple formats and supported consistent, high-impact messaging across every platform.
We also supported the Army’s presence at major events like the AUSA Annual Meeting, coordinating logistics, designing promotional materials, and assisting with keynote preparation for the Secretary and Chief of Staff of the Army. Through every project, DCG helped the Army tell its story, strengthening public understanding of its people, priorities, and values.
Supporting Veterans’ Health, Benefits, and Well-Being | U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
DCG’s partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) reflects a long-standing commitment to improving the lives of veterans, service members, and their families. For years, we’ve supported VA programs that connect people with critical health, wellness, benefits, and crisis-prevention resources, helping transform awareness into action and saving lives along the way.
Through VA’s Office of Suicide Prevention (OSP), DCG supports the Suicide Prevention Program (SPP), delivering large-scale, research-informed campaigns that raise awareness of the Veterans Crisis Line and other life-saving resources. We have produced multimedia campaigns and public service announcements that encouraged veterans and loved ones to reach out for help, generating over one billion impressions and hundreds of thousands of engagements. DCG also planned and promoted the VA/DOD Suicide Prevention Conference, an annual event bringing experts, clinicians, and advocates together to advance collaboration in this vital space.
Beyond mental-health initiatives, DCG supported VA’s Airborne Hazards and Open Burn Pit Registry, helping veterans understand their health risks and access care through clear, data-driven outreach. Our creative and analytical work helped increase registry participation by nearly 40 percent, ensuring more veterans received the information and medical attention they deserved.
We also proudly support the Digital GI Bill (DGIB) which established a major modernization effort launched by VA’s Education Service and Office of Information and Technology (OIT) by transforming how education benefits are delivered to veterans and their families. In partnership with Accenture Federal Services (AFS), DCG leads change management and strategic communications that help veterans and stakeholders navigate new systems and enhancements. Together, we’ve supported multiple DGIB implementations, including automating benefits processing, improving online verification, and hosting one of VA’s largest hybrid training events that engaged over 9,000 participants nationwide. These efforts ensure veterans and their families can access the education benefits they’ve earned quickly and confidently.
These initiatives, alongside our contributions to the President’s Roadmap to Empower Veterans and End a National Tragedy of Suicide (PREVENTS) public-health campaign and related VA efforts, illustrate the consistency of DCG’s partnership with VA. Year after year, we’re honored to support VA in its mission to safeguard the health, opportunity, and well-being of those who’ve served.
Strengthening Defense Communities | U.S. Department of War’s Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation
Strong military families depend on strong local communities. For the Department of War’s (DOW) Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation (OLDCC), DCG provided full-spectrum outreach support to help strengthen collaboration, readiness, and quality of life in defense-connected regions across the country.
Our team modernized OLDCC’s digital presence, including two complete website redesigns and the creation of the Military Installation Sustainability Repository, an interactive map that helps communities plan compatible land use near military installations. We also produced digital toolkits and outreach materials that helped local leaders access technical and financial assistance to support defense infrastructure and community resilience.
When the agency transitioned from the Office of Economic Adjustment to OLDCC, DCG led a comprehensive rebranding and outreach campaign spanning web, social, and direct mail channels to inform stakeholders and partners across the country. Our planners and researchers helped create a framework for OLDCC to proactively connect with local governments, civic organizations, and businesses about changes to DOW’s policies.
Throughout this partnership, DCG provided analytics, social listening, and reporting to track engagement and strengthen communication between the DOW and the communities that support it. These efforts ensure that readiness remains rooted in collaboration and that every defense-connected community has the information and tools it needs to thrive.
A Shared Mission and a Personal Connection
At DCG, supporting military and veteran communities isn’t just part of our portfolio, it’s part of who we are. Our team includes veterans, military spouses, and advocates whose lived experience fuels our work every day. That perspective deepens our understanding of the audiences we serve and strengthens our commitment to delivering work that makes a real difference.
That commitment starts with our founder and CEO, Adam Clampitt, a Navy Reserve officer who recently completed an assignment as the interim Director of Public Affairs and Communications for the Secretary of the Navy, John Phelan. Mr. Clampitt built DCG on the belief that strategic storytelling can be a force for public good, and that purpose still drives our work today.
Whether producing national campaigns, building public-health tools, or supporting on-the-ground engagement for VA and DOW, DCG’s mission is simple: to serve those who serve others.
From Meet Your Army and VA’s Suicide Prevention Program to defense-community initiatives like OLDCC, our track record reflects both expertise and empathy — a combination that defines who we are and how we work. We’re proud of our ongoing partnerships with VA, DOW, and other federal agencies, and of the people at DCG who bring passion and purpose to every project.
