Team DCG Gathers to Kick Off 2025 + Beyond
DCGers came together to welcome 2025 with our first monthly town hall of the year — a time to reflect on past achievements, align on our vision for the future, and map our journey for continued growth. Leadership shared key priorities for the year ahead, outlining strategic initiatives that will enhance our capabilities, strengthen collaboration, and create new opportunities for professional development across the company.
During the meeting, DCG’s Chief Strategy Officer, Noah Albro, shared how the organization is evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients and the federal government. In 2025, DCG is re-envisioning our approach to growth (e.g., processes and platforms), expanding our existing capabilities into new domains, and more closely synchronizing our teams. Our leadership is introducing new ways to provide long-term opportunities for our team members to continually grow — including career mentorship and pathways, tools and certifications, and chances for thought leadership at every level of the company. We’re also incredibly excited to welcome new leaders to our team who will continue to push us toward excellence in everything we do for our clients.
“We know that change for its own sake isn’t helpful. At DCG, our goal is to thoughtfully introduce opportunities, practices, and platforms that support the overall growth of the organization and that are a net benefit for all our team members.”
— Noah Albro, Chief Strategy Officer
A Mindset for Growth and Excellence
Leadership also emphasized the power of a simple but impactful mindset — taking individual responsibility to support collective success. This perspective challenges us to approach our work with a commitment to continuous improvement, not just for ourselves but for the health of the entire organization.
A quote that encapsulates this philosophy was shared and reframed to serve as a guiding outlook for the year:
“Whatever unit I go to, I’m going to leave it better than I found it.”
— Brian Peterson“Whatever 2025 holds, I’m going to make DCG better than I found it.”
Leading By Example
When asked how he is working to leave DCG better than he found it, Chief Delivery Officer Patrick McCarthy shared his perspective:
“My answer is simple: I want to be a collaborative partner, advocate, and mentor to the team. If I am able to cultivate opportunities for learning and development, identify situations for personal and professional growth, and provide coaching to staff on how to think strategically to solve problems, we will develop a new set of leaders within the organization. Not only will each teammate be better for it, but DCG will be in a better place than we found it.”
— Patrick McCarthy, Chief Delivery Officer
Beyond Resolutions
While our strategic initiatives set the foundation for DCG’s future, our approach to implementing these changes is just as crucial. We took a spin on the traditional New Year’s resolutions, reframing them with our executive goals in mind but focusing on positive habits instead of chasing results. Chief Operating Officer, Caitlin Donovan shared her insight:
New Year’s Intention — “Our vision began with two words: Honor and Elevate, which then evolved to People, Process, and Purpose. Our intention this year is to take the great and make it even better. In this year of significant growth ahead, we’re implementing new systems and strategies designed to develop and empower teammates across the organization. By breaking down goals into bite-sized actions, we’re able to create a clearer, more measurable path to success, ensure continuous progress, and elevate everyone to take ownership of their contributions to our collective mission.”
New Year’s Gratitude — “We begin the year by listing what we are grateful for and ways to appreciate those elements more in the coming year. Our people are the heart of DCG — the driving force behind our success, growth, and sustainability — and gratitude is a core part of our culture. To support this, our 2025 goals are grounded in a framework of frequent, open communication, focused on providing feedback and recognizing and celebrating the contributions of every individual.”
New Year’s Letting Go List — “Just as Mel Robbins encourages us to ‘let them,’ many of us who have been at DCG for a long time are adopting a ‘let it go’ mindset as well. Whether this means delegating more responsibilities by trusting and empowering junior staff, embracing change and adaptability, releasing attachment to the past, refocusing our priorities, or discarding perfectionism to foster growth and innovation, this mindset helps us evolve and elevate both individually and as an organization.”
A Year of Experimentation — “2025 is our year of taking chances and embarking on new challenges. In business, maintaining your competitive edge and continuously driving growth are essential for sustainability. In daily activities, DCGers will have opportunities to step outside their comfort zones, embrace calculated risks, and seize new opportunities. Whether it’s launching new service lines, breaking into new agencies, or pushing emerging technologies, our efforts to take bold, informed chances will be a key differentiator for DCG as we strive toward the future.”
DCGers are energized and ready to embrace the growth, collaboration, and opportunities ahead while continuing to focus on delivering the best work for our clients.
